Keep the faith

Raised arms woman

This poem has been written for Corinne as she is about to be Baptized very soon

Keep the faith

If I asked you to stand by my side

Would you choose to run and hide?

If I asked you for your love

Would you think you’re not good enough?

He’s so strong

Nailed to the cross but he is not gone

He’s so strong

Comforts me when everything goes so wrong

He keeps me safe

When I am down

I hear him whispering keep the faith

I hear him whispering keep the faith

Keep the faith

If I asked you to love a stranger like a brother

Would have an excuse like no other?

If I asked you to give up your days for a friend

Would you think it’s just a game?

Or would you do this and more in my name

He’s so strong

Nailed to the cross but he is not gone

He’s so strong

Comforts me when everything goes so wrong

He keeps me safe

When I am down

I hear him whispering keep the faith

I hear him whispering keep the faith

Keep the faith

About darkersideoflight

Hi welcome to my world, I just noticed i have been writing here since 2011. You probably stumbled across me one way or another. I have been writing since the age of sixteen and soon I will be 49. I call my words poetry but i see the words as potential lyric to a song and one day when I have the time and money this is a road i will follow but till then I will be here. Please feel free to contact me if you are a musician or a band looking for a song writer and you feel you could work with me thank you and have good time where ever you may be.
