Walk this land

Walk this land

I walk this land an now an older man

Time has moved on and stood still

As a kid I climbed this old oak tree on top of this hill

Laughter filled those deep blue sunny days

Running through fields of corn

Memories never fade

Those field now a housing estate where mortgages need to be paid

I knew this land so well

Now the land is so hard to tell

Fields are ghosts

In a back garden the tree I loved the most

Where my nursery stood is now an old people’s home

Ironic as I know the days get colder as I grow older

So take me back

To my tree

To those days of child faith security

The days were sunny and long

As children we could do no harm or anything wrong

So take me back

To my tree

To those days of child faith security

Hi welcome to my world, I just noticed i have been writing here since 2011. You probably stumbled across me one way or another. I have been writing since the age of sixteen and soon I will be 49. I call my words poetry but i see the words as potential lyric to a song and one day when I have the time and money this is a road i will follow but till then I will be here. Please feel free to contact me if you are a musician or a band looking for a song writer and you feel you could work with me thank you and have good time where ever you may be.
