Mountains

Mountains

Drinking from the fountain of youth

Somewhere between you and the mountains lays the truth

Not what we have said

Not the chosen path we tread

Looking into those eyes

Could you just try?

Just try to climb inside my head

Climbing mountains

Climbing mountains

Screaming and shouting

Common sense is now a form of doubting

I am

You are

Climbing mountains

Climbing mountains

We can smile

We can laugh

Hold the world together for just a little while

Silently hold each other for now will be just enough

Climbing mountains

Climbing mountains

Screaming and shouting

Common sense is now a form of doubting

I am

You are

Climbing mountains

Climbing mountains

Talk about the past

Dream about future

The good for so long can last

Through this madness we are each other cure

So we carry on

Climbing mountings

Screaming and shouting

Climbing those mountains

Every step can’t help but do the counting

Climbing mountains

Climbing mountains

Mountings

About darkersideoflight

Hi welcome to my world, I just noticed i have been writing here since 2011. You probably stumbled across me one way or another. I have been writing since the age of sixteen and soon I will be 49. I call my words poetry but i see the words as potential lyric to a song and one day when I have the time and money this is a road i will follow but till then I will be here. Please feel free to contact me if you are a musician or a band looking for a song writer and you feel you could work with me thank you and have good time where ever you may be.
